UPDATE

If you can’t print the pattern or you don’t have a printer the dimensions  for the pattern pieces are:

Main fabric, lining  7″x9.5″

Batting 7″x9.5″ (If you are new to sewing or have trouble with the batting stretching or moving too much simply cut the batting slightly larger than the main fabric and cut the excess off  after you are done sewing the quilting lines).

Back pocket 7″x6.5″

Flap 3″x4″

Note: 1/4″ seam allowance is already included in the dimensions

  1. Thanks so much for this pattern. I’ve been away from sewing for a long time but have a nice new Baby Lock and am itching for a simple quilting project to get back to speed. I’ve picked black/white, Art Deco fabrics and a large black rose button and I am just dying to begin tomorrow. Thanks again for sharing your ideas … it was so wonderful of you. You are a talented woman.

    1. Hi Shauna! Thanks for pointing that out it seems I wrote the measurements wrong I Suggest you use a fat quarter for the main fabric and 15″x11″ for the lining. I will fix the measurements right now and thanks again for letting me know I hope my mistake wasn’t an inconvenience for you.

      1. Thanks – that helps as far as the total amount of fabric. I found the pattern pieces for the pocket and flap but still can’t find the pattern pieces for the inner lining and outer. Just need the dimensions to cut. Just trying to do this without a I Pad Mini as my mom is getting one for Christmas and thought I’d make a sleeve for her. It’s been no inconvenience at all, other than I’m itching to get at it.

        1. Can you see two links for the pattern pieces? I’m just wondering because I see both links and I wonder if anyone else is having a problem finding the first link. It looks like I can’t post a link in the comments. I emailed you the pattern pieces let me know if it works for you

          1. I can see two links – the one has the pattern pieces for the pocket and tab. The other just tells me to cut 2 main, 2 lining and 2 batting but no dimensions.

          2. I’m sorry I have no dimensions because it’s a printable pattern but if you would like the dimensions here they are- 7″ wide x 9.5″ tall and 1/4″ seam allowance is already included. I hope that helps and happy sewing 🙂

    1. No problem! That’s what I’m here for and I’m happy to help. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy new year 🙂

  2. Hi. I’m new to this so I am having a bit of trouble trying to figure out how big the flap pieces are and I was wondering if someone would help me. Thanks!

    1. Hi Harrison,

I do not have my iPad with me right now but I found these measurements online, I hope that helps.

      Dimensions
Height: 200 mm (7.9 in); Width: 134.7 mm (5.30 in); Depth: 7.5 mm (0.30 in)

  3. thanks sooooo much for this pattern. I have checked all over and could not find what I wanted until now. I just finished putting it together and it ccouldn’t be easier. I did use Velcro instead of a button hole . thanks again. Linda
